Philosophers' Rally 2010 Philosophers’ Scientific Association at the University of Łódź and Centre for Philosophical Research have the honour to invite you to the sixth edition of the Philosophers’ Rally which will take place in Łódź on May 7-9th, 2010. The Rally is an international conference directed mainly towards philosophy students, postgraduates, PhD students and post-docs. Its goal is to create a field for free exchange of thought, to present current research outcomes and to introduce future projects. Beside talks presented in the concurrent sections, the Rally offers its participants a chance of listening to the lectures of noted Polish and foreign philosophers as well as an opportunity to participate in debates and discussions. This year's invited guests are (among others): Peter Singer (Princeton University), Katalin Farkas (Central European University) and Kasia Jaszczolt (University of Cambridge).
The general character of the Rally is the reason for no particular topic being preferred – papers concerning any issue linked with philosophy are welcome, as well as those of related disciplines – logic, cognitive science, sociology, psychology or cultural studies. Because of its international range the conference is bilingual (languages: Polish and English). Abstracts can be registered until April 11th, 2010.
